Challenge:

In Q2 2021, a leading US-based real estate investment management firm, specializing in mortgages, faced a common challenge: scaling their acquisitions underwriting process efficiently.  They needed to quickly evaluate a high volume of deals while maintaining accuracy and speed but lacked the internal bandwidth to keep pace with market opportunities.  This bottleneck threatened their ability to capitalize on lucrative real estate investments in a competitive market. 

They needed a solution that could provide flexible, scalable support without compromising quality.

Solution: 

Recognizing the client’s urgent need for experienced underwriting support, FinacPlus swiftly mobilized a dedicated team.  We leveraged our deep talent pool of financial professionals with expertise in US real estate underwriting, quickly assembling a team of three highly skilled resources.  By Q3 2021, this virtual team was seamlessly integrated into the client’s acquisitions process, providing critical preliminary underwriting support across multiple US regions.

This allowed the client’s internal team to focus on higher-level analysis and decision-making, significantly increasing their deal flow capacity.

Impact:

The initial success of the virtual underwriting team was undeniable. By December 2022, the client recognized the exceptional value and quality of FinacPlus’s services and expanded the scope of our engagement to include their accounting groups.  This expansion led to the onboarding of 19 additional resources specializing in property, debt, and corporate accounting.

As of Q3 2024, a dedicated team of 22 FinacPlus professionals seamlessly supports the client’s underwriting and accounting operations.  The impact has been so profound that the client has enthusiastically referred FinacPlus to at least eight other real estate investment companies within their network, demonstrating the power of our virtual process services.

In a testament to the strong partnership and exceptional service provided by FinacPlus, the client’s senior leadership team visited Hyderabad in Q4 2024.  This visit culminated in a four-day event, bringing together the entire 22-member FinacPlus team from across India for engaging sessions, team-building activities, and celebratory events.
